Editorial Policy
Our editorial standards are built for clarity, independence, and repeatable results. We publish data first, conclusions second, and we correct mistakes transparently.
Independence and Objectivity
- Our recommendations are based on measured performance and usability at the desk.
- We do not accept compensation for positive coverage. Affiliate links, when present, do not influence testing or scores.
Product Selection and Sourcing
- We select models based on audience needs, availability, and meaningful design differences (beam style, drivers, ergonomics).
- We disclose how we obtained each unit (purchased, loaned, or manufacturer sample). Loaned or sample units receive the same tests and are not guaranteed coverage.
Testing and Scoring
- Methods are documented on “How We Test.”
- Sub‑scores and weightings are consistent across categories; any exceptions are documented.
Corrections and Updates
- If we find an error, we fix it and note the change with a date‑stamped edit history on the page.
- If a product revision materially changes performance, we update the review and clearly mark the new findings.
Affiliates, Ads, and Revenue
- We may earn commissions from retailer links. This supports our work and does not affect our evaluations.
- Sponsored content, if ever published, will be clearly labeled as such (we currently do not publish sponsored reviews).
Conflicts of Interest
- Team members do not hold financial interests in companies we cover. Any potential conflicts are disclosed and managed to preserve objectivity.
Reader Feedback
- We welcome replication, critique, and field reports. If your experience differs from ours, email [email protected]—data and photos help us investigate.
Accessibility and Clarity
- We write in plain language and define technical terms where needed. We also include diagrams and beam maps so findings are easy to apply.
